Deer Lake in Johns Creek is a Swim and Tennis Community priced roughly $300,000-$500,000 located in South Forsyth County, off of Medlock Bridge Road (141), just across the North Fulton County line, which is McGinness Ferry Road.
Deer Lake public schools are in the South Forsyth County school system, which includes Johns Creek Elementary, South Forsyth Middle and South Forsyth High. All very highly rated schools and great places for kids.
The location of Deer Lake, near the downtown area of Johns Creek, is super convenient for shopping, hospitals, restaurants, schools, parks, you name it. Deer Lake is also so close to Cumming’s new Avenues Center which is approximately 5-7 miles north on 141 and next door to the GA400 highway entrance.
The residents of Deer Lake are very happy with the community. It is a very active community that provides all types of social activities for families, parents only, or just children events.
The homes have not significantly lost their values during the housing market correction since 2007, which definitely says a lot for Deer Lake. It has an Alpharetta address with Forsyth taxes which is a plus for people looking to avoid the higher Fulton County taxes. The County is widening the Parkway in front of the Deerlake Development from Johns Creek to Cumming so traffic will get much better in the near future. There is a light at the front of Deer Lake to help with getting the traffic into the entrance area.
